Learn about species-rich grassland in south Roscommon and the invasive species which threaten them.
A talk by botanist Phoebe O’Brien is followed by an optional walk.

An illustrated morning talk at Taughmaconnell community centre focusing on the fantastic grasslands, and species-rich eskers of Castlesampson and surrounding areas. You’ll learn why these grasslands are of national importance and about the rare species which live in them. We will see how the garden plant Cotoneaster is spreading into these grasslands.
